Thanks for taking time out to do this interview, first of all can you give us a brief history of the band and how you came up with the name In Solitude?
Hornper- Vocals) I can’t remember how the band name came about but we started in 2002 as a cover band, and as time went on we started to make our own material around 2005, the foundation was pretty much laid then for where we are now.

Who would you say your main musical influences are?
I think there's so much, on our first album, they were important, but now we have figured out our sound, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Fields of Nephilim, they were pretty big influences in the early days.

You have been signed to Metal Blade Records for a few years now, how have you found that?
It’s going really good, they’re getting us out to people, they have done great promotion for the album, and hooked us up, they handled all the other stuff so we can focus on the music.

You released your latest album ‘The World. The Flesh. The Devil’ back in May 2011 are you happy with how the album has gone down with your fans and the press?
I don't keep track on what the media says about it but when it comes to the crowd, I can only base my perception on people coming to shows, it’s been really good I think, have won some more fans, it’s a much better record than the others.

How did you find creating ‘The World. The Flesh. The Devil’ compared to your previous album?
It was a more intricate process I guess, it demanded more of us as people and individuals, it was an intense period, it wasn't just writing songs for a rock album, it was more than that, what we went through as a band and personally is the thing that makes the album. When we were younger we wrote songs in a very different way.

What would you say your favourite songs from ‘The World. The Flesh. The Devil’ are?
On Burning paths because it incorporates so much what makes this band, both lyrically and musically , and the underlying motives and personal relationships to it, it was a strange song to write, when we finished it we were blown away by it.

You are currently in the UK touring alongside Amon Amarth how did the tour come about?
I'm not really the one, who put things together, but we wanted to play the UK for a long time, and this was the best possibility to do that. Hopefully in the future we will be able to do something with some bands that were good friends with, but we don't really know these guys to well, it’s also good to play in front of other bands crowds.

You are half way through the UK leg of the tour, how have you found the shows so far?
It’s been really good actually, we have heard that the UK crowd to be pretty hard to communicate with, when you’re an opening band, it can be hard but more and more people seem to like us, especially yesterday.

A few weeks after your UK tour finishes you are heading to America to tour with Behemoth, Watain and The Devils Blood, how long is this tour and are you looking forward to certain shows more than others?
Its gonna be around a month long, there places that I'm looking forward to more than others for personal reasons from the first tour, but we were always surprised when we first went to America as we didn't know which nights we were gonna be well received on, we were surprised to find we went down well in places we wasn't expecting to. I'm looking forward to it.

Can we expect to see you back in the UK over the summer to play some of the music festivals?
I'm not sure really, we don't have anything planed in the UK, we're gonna be at some in Europe, but we shall see what happens.

Where do you hope to see In Solitude in a year’s time?
Finishing an album I hope, I'm looking forward to being back home and making or finishing an album.

One last random question that we ask every band, if you could be an animal out of a zebra or Giraffe which one would you be and why?
I would be the hunter maybe, Zebra maybe, a snake maybe, I dunno.

Thanks for your time is there a message for your fans reading this?
Come and see us, these experiences destroy us; everyone is free to come and celebrate.
