Album Review
4Bitten - No More Sins4Bitten - No More Sins

An American female fronted Greek rock band????? who would have thought it, 4Bitten, got there name from there being 4 of them and apprently being bitten by the 'rock bug' as for how a band got there name ive heard better stories.

As soon as the first track is half way through you can pretty much guess as to what your in for for the rest of the album and in a way your not disapointed, the first 3 tracks Lightnin Crashing, Believe, Follow are fairly long affairs and its not really to there benefit, lighting crashing good intro and speeding up and slowing down in places and a solo that seems to have been shoved in there to add some length, Follow and Believe both clock in over 5 minutes when they really don't need to, they also remind me of some early guns an roses or velvet revolver but with out having that great riff or catchyness about them, the singer has a few axel rose moments.

Tell me is one of them ballads heavy in places softer in others, but is so far the best track and is also got good pacing and doesnt seems to go quite quickly, good solid solo an good finish unlike the previous tracks which seem dragged out affairs.

Rock and roll dream, you've heard this song a thousand times, a song about making it as it were, not really that good trundles along nothing that jumps out, bit of a track filler.

Waiting so long is a similar track to tell me, only much much better mixing up acoustic and heavy guitars, could be a good live acoustic track but good as it is.

Push it to the limit, has a funk bass line a bit RHCP if you will, but it doesn't really take off nothing really memorable other than that bass line.

The title track No more sins reminds me of a filler black label society track , great guitar sound, but nothing that really that jumps out.

Overall its a solid effort while some of the songs are overly long, but ultimately nothing new to shout about as its by the numbers blues/hard rock. Its a good first effort, if you like your rock/blues middle of the road with some solid if unimaginative lyrics and solid guitar work, head out and get it on the 20th of April.

3/5
