Weezer are a completely odd band, they have been
together for the best part of 16 years now and in
their time they have released five studio albums
with their sixth studio album 'Weezer' being released
pretty soon. The main single release to promote
the forthcoming sixth full length studio Weezer
album is 'Pork And Beans', a song which I thought
was a joke when I first heard about it, but then
it did cross my mind that this is Weezer and they
always like to do things different and 'Pork And
Beans' is as random as you would expect from Weezer.
'Pork And Beans' is a classic Weezer track, I
will admit that it took me several listens to
get into the track and I’m sure it will
take most people a few listens to get into it,
but once you are into it a lot of enjoyment is
there to be had. Weezer have always been about
the witty yet random lyrics and things are no
different hear with frontman River Cuomo singing
"I'mma do the things That I wanna do I ain't
got a thing To prove to you, I'll eat my candy
With the pork and beans Excuse my manners If I
make a scene". Musically there are some kick
arse power chords on offer, constant drumming
and bouncy bass lines, 'Pork And Beans' have all
the ingredients of a classic Weezer song.
Well-known producer Jacknife Lee produced 'Pork
And Beans' and he has done a great job with it,
'Pork And Beans' see's Weezer back in the music
scene and back on form. I personally can’t
wait to hear the new Weezer studio album after
hearing this classic come back.
