The Horrorpops - Kiss Kiss Kill KillHorrorpops - Kiss Kiss Kill Kill

The Danish born, Los Angeles based pop-punk trio the Horrorpops are back with their third full length studio album 'Kiss Kiss Kill Kill' an album which will be released on Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong's Hellcat record label, a label where the majority of the bands have a raw old skool shouty punk sound and simply all sound the same, however their are a few gems on the label and the Horrorpops happen to be one of them, they are different sounding than any other band from the label and each and everyone of their songs sounds a lot different from the last.

'Kiss Kiss Kill Kill' kicks off with the really upbeat 'Thelma And Louise’; the song is one of the highlights from the album and is so infectious. 'Miss Fit' starts off with some Rancid ska-style bass line and once again the song builds up to be a really catchy number and ends up sounding so much like Madness 'Our House' which can only be a good thing. 'Boot2Boot' is a more top of your voice shouty track that makes the band sound like they have been working alongside the Distillers.

'Highway55' sounds quite similar to the Canadian gonzo band The Vincent Black Shadows and is another one of the highlight tracks from the album, fast in pace and quality in sound. Towards the end of the album it gets instrumental for 3 minutes and 8 seconds for 'HorrorBeach Pt. 2'

The last few songs on the album happen to be my favourite songs with 'Copenhagen Refugee' being my favourite, after just a couple of lyrics you will find yourself singing the following lyrics repetitively till it drives you mad. "I haven’t changed, im still the same, im just a Copenhagen refugee, you found love, I found hope as a Copenhagen refugee'. 'Keep My Picture' starts off quite ska sounding and is another really happy sounding catchy song.

The Horrorpops offer pretty much everything on their third studio album 'Kiss Kiss Kill Kill' and it’s easily to see why the album has been so hotly anticipated. If you like ska, punk, pop and rockabilly then you will without a doubt like this album, it has enough variety to appeal to pretty much anyone.
