Godsized are a four-piece band from Croydon, South London. The bands members
have played together in various different bands in the South London scene
for many years but it was in the Spring of 2006 which saw the members from
a new band called Godsized. Since the band formed back in 2006 they have
been recording songs in the studio and have also got themselves a record
deal with Total Impact Records which their new single 'Fight And Survive'
will be released on shortly.
'Fight And Survive' takes a hard heavy rock sound but also has a melodic
edge that is going to help Godsized appeal to more people in the metal
scene. Glen Korner's vocals are strong and powerful from start to finish
giving the band that melodic edge. The drumming can’t be faulted
and really sticks out and the guitar riffs are strong just like metal
should be.
The more I listen to 'Fight And Survive' the more it appeals to me it’s
got a huge mixture of sound that changes as the song goes on and the guitar
solo towards the end is just breathtaking. Godsized are definitely on
the right tracks to success as 'Fight And Survive' just leaves you wanting
more but it’s going to be a long wait as the bands debut album isn’t
due to be released until towards the end of 2007 but I’m sure it
will be worth every second of it.
