Los Angeles's Shiny Toy Guns are currently kicking up a storm across the
world with the release of their debut album 'We Are Pilots' and their stunning
live shows and non stop touring which included 37 headline dates and 5 support
slots for Fall Out Boy in the UK alone over the past couple of months. Shiny
Toy Guns are now releasing their new single 'You Are The One'.
'You Are The One’ is one of the best songs taken from the bands
debut album and really showcases the bands 'emotronica' sound in the best
possible way with its crashing guitars and constant drumming mixed in
with great keyboards and synthesizers with a great mixture of male and
female vocals sounding as good as each other sung over the top of the
music. The single comes with a couple of extra tracks, the first being
'Weather Girl' which has a bit of a poppy, synthy sound running throughout
with Chad and Carah's vocals slightly mixed up sounding like robots, the
song is pretty slow but quite outstanding. The second bonus track is 'I
Promise You Walls' which is a really slow song with female vocalist Carah
singing but is sadly a bit to slow for my liking.
Shiny Toy Guns are a talented band and are yet another band to mix styles
together to come up with their own sound and it surely works for this
single.
