Yellowcard – Rest In Peace
Yellowcard – Rest In Peace

Yellowcard have just shocked the music industry and their legion of fans with the announcement that after 20 years the band is coming to an end but luckily for their fans the band have announced their tenth and final studio album ‘Yellowcard’ which is due for release on the 30th September and they have also announced the final world tour which kicks off in October and see’s the band touring all over the world for one last time.

To coincide with everything that is going on in the Yellowcard camp the band have also just released their brand new single ‘Rest In Peace’ a song which sticks to the winning Yellowcard formula that the band fans have come to love over the year where musically the song is super catchy and lyrically is very heart-warming as Ryan Key sings out “If you could go back now would you say it differently, if there was no one there would you open up for me, if this was the last time we would ever speak could we forgive somehow could we let it rest in peace”, which in true Yellowcard style carries a double meaning with Ryan singing about a relationship break up whilst also announcing the bands split.

‘Rest In Peace’ is the band’s first new material since 2014’s ‘Lift A Sail’ album and from listening to the single it is safe to say that the bands forthcoming self-titled album is going to be well worth the wait and the perfect send off for one of the best pop-punk ever.
