The Maccabees – KamakuraThe Maccabees – Kamakura

The Maccabees released their fourth studio album ‘Marks To Prove It’ back in July 2015 which was met with great reviews across the board and now they have just kicked off 2016 with their biggest tour to date which included three sold out shows at London’s Brixton Academy and now they are continuing the success with the release of their new single ‘Kamakura’.

‘Kamakura’ is written about the place in Japan which The Maccabees have toured on a number of occasions and it is quite a peaceful and atmospheric number where the song starts off gently and then suddenly starts to come to life, yet every time before it reaches its climax it slowly starts to build down and before you know it the song comes to an end.

Overall ‘Kamakura’ has that The Maccabees knack where it has the right elements to grab your attention and the more you listen to the song the more you appreciate it and the more you get out of it and it is easily one of the stand out tracks from their latest album ‘Marks To Prove It’.
