Skillet - MonsterSkillet – Monster

Skillet formed way back in 1996 and throughout their massive career they have gone on to release 8 albums however throughout the majority of their career they have remained pretty much unknown in the UK until this year when they came over to play a few shows and also played an explosive set at the Download Festival at Castle Donington in June and now the band are set to head back to the UK any day now and also embark on a full blown European tour and to coincide with that they have decided to release a career encompassing album called ‘Vital Signs’ and they have just released the massive ‘Monster’ from ‘Vital Signs’ as a single.

‘Monster’ is a hard rocking song which oozes in speed, seriously this song is frantic from start to finish and is one hell of a mosh pit anthem and when you hear the song you start to wonder why Skillet have been kept a secret for so many years and only properly known in America as they quite simply rock and ‘Monster’ is easily one of the best rock anthems of the year as it has the knack to make you forget about all your worries for 3minutes whilst you rock out in the comfort of your own room.

It is about time that Skillet get the recognition they deserve in the UK as they are one powerful rock band who have a back catalogue of killer tunes and if you think ‘Monster’ is good then you are in for a serious treat when you look back at the bands impressive back catalogue.
