Suburban Legends - Kiss The GirlSuburban Legends – Kiss The Girl

The long running seven piece third-wave ska band Suburban Legends have just announced the release of their new mini album ‘Dreams Aren’t Real But These Songs Are’ which happens to be a 6 track collection of classic Disney song covers such as songs from Duck Tales, Cinderella, Pocahontas, Toy Story, Beauty And The Beast and The Little Mermaid and is due for release on the 26th May and for the fans who can’t wait for the release date the band have also just released ‘Kiss The Girl’ from The Little Mermaid as their new single.

‘Kiss The Girl’ is a short fun song running for just under 3minutes where the Suburban really do wonders with a classic Disney song as the band bring out their trombone and trumpet and really give the song a big ska-punk makeover full of tasty basslines and fast paced guitar riffs, vocally the song is fast and furious and generally full of excitement as the whole band come together with catchy lead and backing vocals.

I feel listening to ‘Kiss The Girl’ is a must for fans of Disney, Suburban Legends and ska-punk as Suburban Legends have turned such a slow paced song into such an upbeat masterpiece that you will want to listen to again and again, I personally can’t wait to hear the other 5 Disney themed tracks that are due to be featured on the forthcoming mini-album.

5/5
