Eliza Doolittle - Big When I Was LittleEliza Doolittle – Big When I Was Little

Eliza Doolittle is currently working hard on her second studio album and has taken a bit of time out to release her brand new single ‘Big When I Was Little’ a song which look’s back through the 90’s with Eliza singing about the likes of Polaroid, Malcolm In The Middle, Super Nintendo , Smirnoff Ice and much more.

Within the first few seconds of ‘Big When I Little’ it’s hard not to ignore the similarity of this and Lilly Allen’s ‘LDN’ and the more the song goes on the more Eliza starts to sound like Lilly Allen and even more so when the lyrics about her childhood and retro things kick in. This time around Eliza has left the soulful sounds of ‘Pack Up’ and the jazzy sounds ‘Skinny Genes’ alone and come up with a more radio friendly pop-tastic summer anthem.

There has been a lot of hype surrounding Eliza since she burst on the scene back in 2010 and with the release of ‘Big When I Was Little’ Eliza is going to find herself storming the top of the charts in no time whilst keeping people on the edge of their seat waiting for that all important second album.
