Sacred Mother Tongue - Out Of The DarknessSacred Mother Tongue - Out Of The Darkness

Back in September 2012 Sacred Mother Tongue released a 4 track EP called ‘a Light Shines’ which happened to be their first new music in over three years and was instantly a hit leaving their fans wanting more, now six months on Sacred Mother Tongue are ready to unleash their new studio album ‘Out Of The Darkness’ on the world.

The album opens with the thunderous ‘Demons’ which oozes in instrumental trickery at the beginning, yet it is the machine gun style drumming and fast paced guitar riffs which hit at the 46 second mark when you realise that the next 45minutes are going to be a pleasure, seconds later Darrin Smiths beautifully unique vocals come in and seal the deal in melodic fashion, whilst the band solidly jam together with guitar solos coming and going throughout.

If you managed to check out the bands EP ‘A Light Shines’ when it was released back in September then you will have already heard 4 of the tracks on the album as ‘Evolve/Become’, ‘Seven’, ‘Bleeding Out’ and ‘The City Crying’ are featured on both releases, if you have not already heard the EP then you are in for a treat as all 4 songs are solid sounding slices of metal excellence with ‘Evolve/Become’ standing out the most due to the powerful chorus which Darrin Smith lays down.

‘Pawn’ is a fast paced song which is vocally different from the rest of the tracks on the album, ‘A Light Will Shine’ features guitar riffs that come at you like a monstrous whirlwind, whilst the album closer ‘Believe’ see’s Sacred Mother Tongue tone things down ever so slightly and go out in a radio friendly way.

‘Out Of The Darkness’ is a massive release for Sacred Mother Tongue and is easily one of the most important UK metal album releases of the year as it is not every day that a UK band as solid as Sacred mother Tongue come on the scene and cause a such a hype, Sacred Mother Tongue are currently on tour with Ill Nino and are booked up to play many shows throughout the year including Download festival and now ‘Out Of The Darkness’ is due for release in just over a week things are certainly looking up for this super talented 4 piece.

Sacred Mother Tongue are unlike any other band on the scene at the moment so if you like your metal music filled with super fast jamming, guitar solos aplenty, melodic vocals and a big radio friendly finish then check out ‘Out Of The Darkness’ right away.
