Five Finger Death Punch - Under And Over ItFive Finger Death Punch – Under And Over It

Five Finger Death Punch are without a doubt one of the most promising rock bands in the world today, they caused a bit of a stir with their debut album ‘The Way Of The Fist’ back in 2007 but it was there 2009 release ‘War Is The Answer’ which pushed them closer to their goal of being a big selling rock band with the album clocking up gold status in America alone in no time at all.

The band were last seen in the UK during the Download Festival in 2010 when they caused controversy for encouraging as many fans to jump the barriers and go against all the security’s wishes to join them on stage which let to their set being cut short and ever since then everyone has been itching for some more FFDP live dates or new music.

While the wait is over as their third studio album is finished and due for release on the 10th October and luckily for everyone who can’t wait until then the band have just unleashed their brand new single ‘Under And Over It’ and my god it is one hell of a tub-thumper which features all the classic FFDP elements that we have come to love.

‘Under and Over It’ kicks off with a massive instrumental punch and in general the song kicks proper arse in the way that the instrumental work is so fast paced and heavy yet the vocals change from melodic to raw shouts throughout the song with Ivan Moody on top form when he cusses with angry lyrics like “Did you hear the one about me giving a shit? Cause if I ever did I don't remember it” and also “Do I care if you hate me? Do you wanna know the truth?C'est la vie... adiós... good riddance... fuck you!”, which I am sure a lot of people can relate to and will cause mayhem to in future FFDP mosh pits.

After hearing ‘Under And Over It’ I bet the 10th October could not come soon enough for FFDP fans as these guys seem to go from strength to strength and get bigger and better with each and every release and I have a feeling that album number three is going to take them on a massive successful journey.

5/5
