Mexicolas are currently working on their new album
‘The Minerva Suite’ which is due for
release at the start of 2011 but in the meantime
they are giving their fans and the rest of the world
a little taste of what to expect from the album
with their brand new single ‘Brakes’
which is due for release on the 6th December.
‘Brakes’ is the masterpiece of Jamie
Evans a multi talented musician who multitasks
and plays pretty much every single instrument,
obviously when on the road Jamie brings out a
set of session musicians to help him recreate
the sound in the live circuit, anyway ‘Brakes’
is a chunky rock and roll anthem which flows with
a beautifully sung chorus and enough beautiful
drum beats and guitar riffs to please most people.
I am really looking forward to the release of
‘The Minerva Suite’ as if ‘Brakes’
is anything to go by then it could quite easily
be a sweet release.
